Eligibility Criteria:- The CS executive examination is conducted twice a year that is in the months of June and December. The executive program can be pursued by the every graduate except the Fine Arts students. The candidates who have cleared the Foundation exam are generally not less than seventeen years of age. Admission to the CS executive course is found open in most of the reputed coaching institutes throughout the year. If the student has qualified the entrance level examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India that is the ICAI or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India that is the ICMAI then he or she is eligible to get direct entry in the CS executive program of the ICSI that is the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
Thus, in addition to those aspirants who have graduated in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce or in any other discipline except Fine Arts, any candidates who have cleared the Common Proficiency Test or the CPT conducted by the ICAI or the Foundation exam of ICWAI may get direct entry in the CS executive program of ICSI. In the early days, CA or CMA final level qualified students were permitted to take direct admission in this program. Furthermore, the CS Institute has relaxed the candidates who have qualified the examination conducted by some other accountancy institution in India or outside this country that is equivalent to the CA CPT by the ICSI Council. These students are exempted from qualifying the Foundation examinations. These students can directly seek for admission in this executive program.
Subjects Included in the CS Course:- The CS Executive program includes seven papers that are divided into two modules. The first module includes four papers that are the Company Law, Cost and Management Accounting, Economics and Commercial laws, and Tax laws and Practices. The second module includes three subjects, which are Company Accounts and Auditing Practices, Capital Markets and Security Laws, and Industrial, Labor and General Laws.
The coaching institutes not only arrange batches for the CS executive program but also for the CMA Inter program. Students must join these institutes to deepen the knowledge of these subjects and to become capable of qualifying the exam in the first attempt.
